Importance of GAC Partnerships

The collaborative effort of a multi-stakeholder network can improve the process and outcome of care among Ontario physicians and the utilization of resources in identified clinical conditions.

The Implementation component of our work is a highly unique program. No other jurisdiction we know of has drawn together partners with as wide a range of influence around an educational initiative as has the GAC.

Since joining with the Centre for Effective Practice, the GAC has realigned its mandate to focus on interprofessional primary care, and as such, will be working to expand its partnerships and the Ontario Guidelines Collaborative. Currently the CEP has built strong strategic partnerships with groups such as the Ontario College of Family Physicians, the Ontario Pharmacists Association, and the Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario to promote best practices in primary care.
